How it works

Argument Builder

Test a claim against its strongest reasons and its strongest critic.

Get a better result

  1. Find the evidence first

Each reason is only a promise until you find a source that backs it.

  2. Face the best objection

Answering the strongest counterargument is more persuasive than ignoring it.

  3. Keep reasons separate

If two reasons need the same evidence, they are probably one reason.

How it works

  1. 1

You state a claim and choose who you are writing for.

  2. 2

An AI model restates the claim sharply and gives three distinct reasons for it.

  3. 3

Each reason comes with a pointer to the kind of evidence that would back it up.

  4. 4

It names the strongest objection a fair critic would raise, and a reply, so you can address it before your reader does.

Good to know

It never names studies, authors or statistics, because they may not exist. Treat the reasons as a plan, and find and check the evidence yourself.
