How it works

Research Question Builder

Turn a broad topic into focused questions you can actually answer.

Get a better result

  1. Pick one you can answer

Choose the question you could answer with the time, people and data you can actually reach.

  2. Match words to method

“How do… describe” suits interviews. “What is the effect of…” needs measurement.

  3. Narrow by one dimension

Add a population, setting or time period, not all three at once.

How it works

  1. 1

You describe a topic and choose a method and an academic level.

  2. 2

An AI model drafts five questions, one of each type: exploratory, descriptive, comparative, causal and evaluative.

  3. 3

Each question is matched to your method and level, and comes with one line on how you could answer it.

  4. 4

We check every result has the right shape before you see it.

Good to know

The AI does not search papers or databases. It never names specific datasets, because they may not exist; check any data source before you plan around it.
